Eve Puffer

Dr. Puffer is a clinical psychologist and global mental health researcher. Her expertise is in developing and evaluating family-based mental health interventions, adapting them across cultures and languages, and testing how they can be delivered by non-specialist providers and sustained within existing community settings and systems of care. She works with partners in Kenya, Thailand, Vietnam, Liberia, and the United States.

At Duke, Dr. Puffer teaches and mentors students in psychology and global health, and directs the Duke Center for Global Mental Health, where she brings together faculty working across schools and departments and supports the training of early-career researchers and clinicians.

Before joining the Duke faculty, Dr. Puffer was a research and evaluation technical advisor at the International Rescue Committee, working on humanitarian programs in refugee and post-conflict settings.
