Capacity Strengthening

Much of this work is now focused on research leadership: supporting early-career investigators in the settings where the lab works to lead their own studies, secure funding, and build research programs at their own institutions. Alongside it, the lab trains the people responsible for delivering care, including community health promoters, lay providers, and peer counselors.

BRIDGE-Mental Health Kenya Builds research leadership among Kenyan investigators, so that more of the research done in Kenya is led from Kenya. CAMP Kenya Trains community health promoters to recognize, support, and refer adolescents with mental health needs in their own communities.
